Kinesio Taping
Kinesio Taping originated in Japan, and has gained much popularity in the sports
world in the U.S. The thin taping system allows for better circulation and lymphatic
drainage. In addition, the tape acts as a support while not restricting a muscle’s normal
activity.
The tape comes in different colors, and the darker the color, the more adhesive
there will be. Therefore, if the tape should stay on for a longer period, the black
tape would then be recommended.
There are many different taping styles, and there are multiple books and videos on
the web that will show how each muscle or tendon should be taped.
The tape can stay on for multiple days, even in the shower or swimming pool.
We’ve found the tape to be extremely beneficial in the healing of injuries and the
prevention of pulls.
